New publication on measuring deoxygenation effects on marine predators

Read more in this publication from researchers of CIBIO, Biodiversity and Genetic Resources Research Centre, InBIO Associated Laboratory, Vairão Campus, University of Porto, Vairão, Portugal. In this study, to investigate the effects of deoxygenation on marine predators such as blue sharks, the dissolved oxygen measuring (DOME) archival tag is introduced. The oxygen sensor incorporated in the DOME archival tag includes an ultra-compact oxygen meter (PICO2-OEM, PyroScience GmbH) connected to an optical sensor spot (OXSP5-SUB, PyroScience GmbH) that measures DO concentrations at user-designated intervals.
