The blank optical fiber rod PICROD2 is compatible to the PICO device series (PICO-connector).

It can be utilized for the readout of contactless sensors such as sensor spots. The fiber rod length is 40mm. The 2mm diameter of the fiber rod itself enables measurements of oxygen and temperature spots through up to 5mm thick transparent materials. For O2 and temperature measurements through thicker windows (0-20mm) PICROD3 can be used. 

pH sensor spots can be read out through transparent materials with up to 5mm thickness. 

The PICROD2 needs to be fixated at the sensor spot to ensure stable measurements which can be realised using SPADBAS fiber adapter.
