The APHOx-S-O2 is a compact underwater sensor for dissolved oxygen. The device uses a robust optical principle based on an oxygen sensitive luminescent dye. A factory calibration of the oxygen sensor allows for convenient and fast deployment. The APHOx-S-O2 provides a RS485 interface and 4 analog outputs for an easy integration into various control systems.
With the corrosion and biofouling resistant copper alloy housing and an operational depth down to 50 m, the APHOX-S-O2 is specifically designed for measurements in aquacultures and surface waters.
Supported analytes. This meter features one optical channel compatible to an oxygen sensor for the APHOX-S series. The optical sensor is automatically temperature compensated by the internal NTC thermistor.
Copper-alloy housing. Corrosion and biofouling resistant housing which is applicable to a depth of 50 m.
Digital Interface. A standard RS485 interface provides robust communication.
Digital protocol. Modbus RTU or PyroScience protocol (switchable)
Analog output. This device has integrated analog outputs (2x 0-5V, 2x 4-20mA (16 bit each)).
Broadcast Mode. A broadcast mode can be configured, where the device measures in a pre-defined interval. The measurement results are given in real-time at the analog outputs. No digital communication is needed in this mode.
Innovative REDFLASH technology. The REDFLASH technology from PyroScience is based on the unique analyte-sensitive REDFLASH sensor materials. The REDFLASH sensor materials are excitable with red light and show an analyte-dependent luminescence in the near infrared (NIR). The REDFLASH technology impresses by its high precision, high reliability, low power consumption, low cross-sensitivity, and fast response times. The red light excitation significantly reduces interferences caused by autofluorescent samples. Further, the NIR detection technology significantly reduces interference with ambient light, known from the old blue-light techniques.
