Shallow Water Transmitter for optical pH Sensors
The AquapHOx-T-pH is a real-time transmitter for underwater operation down to 100m depth. The transmitter was designed as platform to be combined with a wide range of different optical pH or temperature sensor formats, offering maximum flexibility regarding application.
The entire pH sensor portfolio with -SUB connector can be used with the AquapHOx-T-pH. Maintenance time is minimized by simply exchanging these disposable sensor heads. Choose between a pH sensor cap (PHCAP-PKx-SUB) for long time monitoring or fiber-optic screw-cap probes (PHROBSC-PKX-SUB) for pH sensing with spatial resolution in e.g. coral reefs. The pH sensors are also available with different pH ranges suitable for your application.
Simultaneous oxygen measurement can be realized by parallel deployment of the AquapHOx-T-O2 transmitter. For deployments >100m depth, please refer to our deep-sea multi-analyte transmitter AquapHOx-TX with titanium housing.
Supported analytes. This meter features ONE optical channel compatible to a broad range of optical pH and temperature sensors with SUB-connectors. The optical sensor of your choice must be purchased separately. Each optical sensor is automatically temperature compensated by the integrated fast Pt100 sensor head.
POM Housing. This device can be deployed to a depth of 100m.
Digital Interface. A standard RS485 interface provides robust communication even at cable lengths up to several 100m. A USB 2.0 adapter cable is included for "plug and play" configuration / operation with Windows PCs.
Digital Protocol. Modbus RTU or PyroScience protocol (switchable)
Analog output. This device has integrated analog outputs (2x 0-5V, 2x 4-20mA (16 bit each)).
Broadcast Mode. A broadcast mode can be configured, where the device triggers itself periodic measurements with up to 40 Hz sample rate. The measurement results are given in real time at the analog outputs. No digital communication is needed in this mode.
Next generation PC software. The Pyro Workbench is our newest software solution and available as free download in the Downloads tab. Up to 10 PyroScience meters can be operated by the Pyro Workbench at once. It is used for configuring the device, calibrating the sensors, starting the logging, and finally for retrieving the logged data. The sensor readings are displayed numerically and graphically and can be logged in respective data files for further data processing. Additionally, the integrated Pyro Data Inspector features multiple data processing options like drift compensation or calculation of oxygen rates.
Innovative REDFLASH technology. The REDFLASH technology from PyroScience is based on the unique analyte-sensitive REDFLASH sensor materials. The REDFLASH sensor materials are excitable with red light and show an analyte-dependent luminescence in the near infrared (NIR). The REDFLASH technology impresses by its high precision, high reliability, low power consumption, low cross-sensitivity, and fast response times. The red light excitation significantly reduces interferences caused by autofluorescent samples. Further, the NIR detection technology significantly reduces interference with ambient light, known from the old blue-light techniques.
