The OEM module Pico-pH-SUB is a fiber-optic meter for integration into custom-made underwater housings. It consists of a Pico-pH OEM meter combined with a pressure stable optical connector (optical feed-through). 

The Pico-pH-SUB is easy to mount and can also be used to retrofit existing underwater equipment since its thread is compatible to some of the most popular deep-sea connectors. The titanium connector is open face pressure stable up to 4000 m water depth (400 bars). Pressure tests after integration are highly recommended. It is typically mounted in the lid of pressure cylinders.

Pico-pH-SUB offers a standard UART interface for integration in custom electronics. In addition, we offer an USB adapter cable PICO-USB including a license for the Pyro Workbench software. When connected to this USB adapter cable, the Pico-pH-SUB can be comfortably configured and operated with a PC using this versatile  software.

Optical channel. This meter features one optical channel with a SUB-connector, compatible to a broad range of optical sensors. The optical sensor of your choice must be purchased separately.

Innovative REDFLASH technology. The REDFLASH technology from PyroScience is based on the unique analyte-sensitive REDFLASH sensor materials. The REDFLASH sensor materials are excitable with red light and show an analyte-dependent luminescence in the near infrared (NIR). The REDFLASH technology impresses by its high precision, high reliability, low power consumption, low cross-sensitivity, and fast response times. The red light excitation significantly reduces interferences caused by autofluorescent samples. Further, the NIR detection technology significantly reduces interference with ambient light, known from the old blue-light techniques.
